Channely started skating recreationally in Philadelphia, PA in 2006. She quickly became enamored with the sport and was afforded the opportunity to participate in local shows and competitions at both recreational and professional levels. Realizing the opportunities she was afforded to be able to participate in such an inaccessible sport as a Hispanic/Latina woman, giving back to the community became a core value. As Channely is bilingual, providing a safe space for those whose first language is not English to learn the sport, has become one of her most coveted accomplishments. Channely started volunteering at her rink at 11 years old and fell in love with a completely different aspect of the sport; coaching. She enjoys coaching all skill levels, putting on shows/competitions, and being a mentor and friend to her students. Channely has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing Law School. Her pursuit in giving back to the community extends far beyond the rink.
